Hi Y’all! I’m Drew!
Born on nearly opposite sides of the country, Nick and I met in central Texas by chance through a mutual instagram friend (thank you social media!). We got engaged about two years later – the day Nick proposed was the day we closed on the farm! We married in August of 2024, in our county’s courthouse, just the two of us. Since then, we’ve been living on and fixing up our 17-acre farm, and learning all things homesteading, home renovation, and animal care.
We didn’t always know we wanted to live in the country, but over our time dating we both realized the value in living slower lives, learning to grow and harvest our own food, and cultivating a simple life we don’t feel like we need a break from. We came across the farm on a complete whim, and we saw so much potential the moment we pulled up the unpaved driveway.
The farm is a major fixer upper. It took blood, sweat, and tears to get it to the point it’s at today, and it’s still not even remotely close to being finished! Over the almost two years we’ve owned it, we’ve fixed up quite a few things, and added animals. We have dairy goats, way too many chickens, two livestock guardian dogs, and a barn cat. We have many more animals we’d like to add, including honey bees, quail, meat rabbits, meat chickens, and eventually, a few cows for meat. We want to do it all!
Our main endeavor, however, has been dairy goats. We got our first goats in the summer of 2024, and our first baby goats joined us in the spring of 2025. It was one of the most challenging and rewarding times. My favorite part of the entire experience was getting to witness each of our pregnant ladies give birth. It is truly a miracle.
I have always loved making things with my own hands, and drowning in milk forced me to get creative with what I could do, other than just trying to drink a gallon of goat milk every day. I tried cheese (and failed miserably), but found success in cajeta (goat milk caramel sauce, potentially one of the most divine things to ever exist), and soap! I love natural skincare, and I’ve used many natural lotions, soaps, and balms over the years. Making my own has been one of my greatest joys! I now had a super simple and natural soap, made from milk from our very own goats.
Many friends and family told me I should try selling my homemade goods, and after pushing aside my nerves, I brought a few of my products to my first market in the fall of 2025. It was a huge hit! I was blessed with so much support and enthusiasm, and sold out of nearly everything I brought.
Now, I’m creating soaps and tallow butters in the hopes that others can find as much joy in using them as I do. We hope you love them!
